Online Workout 3/25 and 3/26

Here's today's workout! Please note that there are NEW additions to the workout. Remember that leadership and social skills are just like muscles - don't let them fatigue. Please practice teaching a technique to your family today.

  • warm-up
    • run or jog outside anywhere from 5-20 minutes (choose something moderately challenging) and includes all of the stuff we do at the dojo (like inside shuffle, jumping, skipping, high knees, 10-10-10, and anything else you want to add in)
  • circuit (3 rounds of this means 9 minutes total)
    • 6" leg raises  - 45 seconds (hold position with legs straight)
    • rest - 10 seconds
    • lunges - 45 seconds (alternating legs each rep.)
    • rest - 10 seconds
    • mountain climbers - 45 seconds
    • rest - 10 seconds
  • techniques
  • game
    • bear crawl and crab walk relay races in the back yard. Make teams with your siblings and your parents. Find a distance where you can bear crawl DOWN and crab walk back. Team competitions make these VERY fun and engage the whole family. Losing team does 10 pushups.
  • social practice
    • say please and thank you TODAY
    • offer to help around the house TODAY
    • make your bed EVERYDAY
    • clean up after yourself (toys, food, etc) right after using
    • post a photo or video of yourself when you train at home to encourage your teammates!
