Sumi Gaeshi from Guard

When doing Sumi Gaeshi from bottom guard in BJJ, here are the steps:

  • Start in knee shield guard
  • Look for a 2 on 1 control on this arm - sleeve and the elbow
  • Pull this arm in and across the body
  • Sit up and look to grab their belt
  • We need the shin running across opponent's belt line
  • Load their weight up on top
  • Flick them to the side
  • Come up and end in side control
